Police said the vehicle was being driven by two young brothers, ages 4 and 7.

The collision reportedly happened around 9:30 a.m. near 35th Avenue and Mangels Avenue. The sedan sideswiped another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction before losing control and striking Kiara. In a matter of seconds, an ordinary morning became a life-changing tragedy.

Kiara was rushed to Highland Hospital, where she began receiving treatment for devastating injuries. Her family told ABC7 that she suffered a brain bleed and facial fractures and is expected to undergo multiple surgeries. Her loved ones say the road ahead will be extraordinarily difficult.
