I Saw Hell and Then Met Jesus: Jordan Samuel's Near-Death Experience
Hello Gods411, today we are going to talk about how we can get through financial difficulties. Why do we feel like God is not listening, what does God plan to do about our difficulties, and what does He promise us about these seasons in our lives. So sit back and find a sense of peace and hope.
There are moments in life when the numbers just don’t add up. Bills stack higher than your income. Unexpected expenses appear out of nowhere. You lie awake at night, staring at the ceiling, wondering how you’re going to make ends meet. If you’ve ever felt that burden on your life, you are not alone, and more importantly, you do not go unnoticed.
Financial strain has a way of putting a brown cloud over every part of your life. It can steal your peace, strain your relationships, and fill your thoughts with fear about tomorrow. But in the middle of that uncertainty, we need to remember that there is a promise you can hold onto, God is your provider, and He will never forget you.
It is easy to feel like God has forgotten you when you’re struggling financially. You might look around and see others thriving while you are barely holding things together. But Scripture reminds us that God sees every detail of our lives, every need, every worry, every tear, every silent prayer.
In Matthew 6:8, Jesus says, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.”
That means your situation is never a surprise. The overdue bill, the empty bank account, the uncertainty about where tomorrow's food, is all in God's awareness. And not only is He aware of your situation, He cares too.
When we pray for a financial breakthrough, we often picture a sudden, dramatic answer to prayer, like a large check, a new job, or instant relief. Sometimes, God does move in those powerful ways. But more often, provision comes step by step.
It might look like something unexpected:
God’s provision is not always instant, but it will always be intentional.
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of any struggle in life, especially when finances are tight. The pressure begins to feel urgent, and the needs begin to feel immediate. But delays don't mean God is inactive.
In Isaiah 40:31, we’re reminded: “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”
Waiting is not wasted time, if spent right. It’s a place where faith is strengthened, where trust is built, and where God is often working behind the scenes in ways you cannot yet see. Even when nothing seems to be changing, something is happening, God is busy.
One of the most powerful mindset shifts you can make is this, your job and your income, are not your ultimate source of provisions, God is.
Your circumstances may change, but God’s ability to provide does not.
Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Notice it doesn’t say He will supply some of your needs or only when things are easy, it says all.
This doesn’t mean life will always be comfortable, but it does mean you can trust that God will take care of you, no matter what. Keep in mind though that sometimes He provides in ways you never expected.
Fear focuses on the problem. Faith focuses on God.
Choosing faith doesn’t mean ignoring your reality, it means believing that God is greater than your reality. Every time fear tries to take over, you have a choice, will you let anxiety speak louder, or will you remind yourself of God’s promises?
Trusting God doesn’t mean you sit around doing nothing. Faith and action go hand in hand.
While you’re believing for in God's provisions, it’s important to:
God often works through our efforts. He can guide your decisions, open doors, and multiply what you place in His hands, but you still have a role to play.
If you look closely, you’ll begin to notice that stories of God’s provision are all around you. People who were on the brink of losing everything and somehow found a way through. Families who had just enough at just the right moment. Doors that opened when there seemed to be no path forward.
These are not coincidences, they are all in God's plan. And they are reminders, reminders that God still provides, reminders that breakthroughs still happen, reminders that your story isn’t over yet.
Sometimes, the hardest moment comes right before the breakthrough. It’s when you feel the most tired, the most discouraged, and the most ready to give up. But what if you are really closer than you realize? What if the door you’ve been praying for is about to open? What if the provision you need is already on its way?
Remember always, that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
No matter what your bank account says or what your situation looks like right now, don’t let go of hope. Hope is not wishful thinking, it’s a confident expectation that God will come through. It is having faith in the Father who is always faithful. You may not see the full picture yet, but you don’t have to. You just need to trust the One who does.
If you’re in need today, take a moment to pray:
“Lord, You see my situation and You know my needs. I place my finances in Your hands. Give me wisdom, open doors, and provide in ways only You can. Help me trust You, even when I don’t understand. I believe You are my provider. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
If you’re praying for a financial breakthrough, don’t give up. God sees you, He hears your every prayer, and He is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Your situation may feel overwhelming, but it is not beyond His power. Trust in Him, believe in Him, because the same God who has provided before…
What financial breakthrough are you trusting God for right now, and how has He provided for you in the past? 🙏💙
