Erika Kirk Shares Heartbreaking Story About Her Daughter After Charlie’s Death

In the wake of Charlie's death, Erika is carrying forward his mission with courage. The mother of two has openly addressed the challenges they face. Shortly after his passing, she delivered a heartfelt message from the very space where he shared his ideas with the world.

In a moving video, Erika shared that she has not yet told their two young children—her daughter born in August 2022 and her son born in May 2024—that their father is gone. Instead, she reassured them with gentle words, explaining that he is on a “work trip with Jesus.”

“Charlie always wished to be remembered for his courage and his faith,” Erika said. “Above all, he loved our children and me with all his heart. My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children.”

Reflecting on a tender moment, Erika recalled how their daughter, Gigi, ran into her arms and asked, “Where’s Daddy?” In a loving response, Erika shared, “I said, ‘Baby, daddy loves you so much. He’s on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.'”

Erika also illuminated her husband’s strong bond with his children, choosing to protect their privacy. Recently, she provided a glimpse into their special relationship. Speaking on Fox, she revealed the heartwarming reason why their daughter always watched her father’s show: every time he aired, he would bring along one of her toys.

“That was their little connection,” Erika said. “He cherished it, as it felt like a piece of her was with him on the show.”
