Christian's Comments On Social Media About Bruce Jenner

Christian Comments On Bruce Jenner

The Bruce Jenner/Caitlyn Jenner controversy is at its peak and before we as Christians blast away on how we disagree with what Bruce is doing, let me give you some food for thought.

1. Christian are Quick to Judge. I believe that our number one downfall of Christians is that we are very quick to judge others. Our Bible is very clear about judging others. Here are some verses that you can meditate on before you post away with your comments.
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Matthew 7:1-5
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven." Luke 6:37
"Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?" Romans 2:1-3

I think this would be a great time, to let God judge what Bruce Jenner is doing, and reach out in love and acceptance. Acceptance is not agreeing with the actions of that person, but accepting them as Jesus would.

2. Where Do We Draw The Line? If you are truly honest, we all are not completely satisfied how God originally created us.  If God created us with brown hair, we dye it blonde. We all do things to our body to express ourselves. Now I agree that Bruce is at the extreme end of the scale, but we are all guilty of trying to change what God originally created.

3. Are You Praying for Bruce? If you really are concerned for Bruce and his actions, are you praying for him? I would say that if you are not praying for a person, you really do not care about them, you just do not agree with what they are doing so you are trying to change them.

4. God Cares About Your Soul. I was watching Cathy Lee on the Today Show and show and she had great insight on Bruce Jenner. Our body is a temple and we need to treat it as such, but our skin and "parts" are not going to heaven. Our soul is what is going to Heaven. God cares about our soul and no-one but God knows the condition of your heart/soul.

I know there are going to be people that do not agree with this blog, but I believe we as Christian have two choices; Play God, judge Bruce Jenner, and stay those "Judgmental Christians".... or accept Bruce in love and accept him for what he is at this time in his life. Think about it, if Bruce ever wanted to change or had a question, where do you think he is going to go? Someone who judges him or someone how loves him?

  1. Transgenders are clearly delusional. It is impossible for a person to be other than what they are born as. a boy born as a boy is a boy in a boy's body. Someone from the transgender community once told me that 50% of transgenders commit suicide saying that it was because of a lack of acceptance by society. I think it is more because they can't keep deceiving themselves. Wanting to be something you are not doesn't make it true. I can want to be a cat and even have surgery to make me look similar to a cat but that won't change the fact that I am a human. Supporting a person's delusion, as the treansgender community does, is harmful to them. Envy is one of the 7 deadly sins. They have gender envy to the point that they delude themselves into believing they are what they want to be. Lust is another deadly sin, just because many people lust doesn't make it ok. Supporting their delusion doesn't help them it harms them. Even after a sex change they sooner or later realize they still are not the gender they want to be. They are just a mutilated man or a mutilated woman and the realization often leads them to greater depression even to the point of being suicidal.
