What Does It Mean To Commit Your Plans To The Lord

What Does It Mean To Commit Your Plans To The Lord

Commit Your Plans To The Lord

Stop for a minute and think of how many plans that you make in one day? Hundreds.....maybe thousands? I would bet that a large portion of your decisions would be quick, split second plans. What am I going to wear? What am I going to eat? What TV program should I watch?

On the other hand I would guess that you make some plans that might require more thinking than just a split second. In making these plans you might try and weigh the outcome of the decision. What happens if I choose this way, or that way????? Stop and think for a minute, how many of those decisions do you wish you would have chose differently, so that the outcome would have been different? I know that I have made TONS to decisions that I wished I could have changed.

I know that Christ cares about every decision that you make. He may not be so concerned what shoes you wear, but He wants to see you make the best plans for your life. He WANTS to bless you. So knowing that Christ wants to bless you, how many of you give Him the chance to bless you?

A lot of plans that we make, do not have to be decided right now. We have time on our side, but we feel that we have to quickly decided right now. Why is that? Maybe we feel better when we can check that off our list of things to do?

As the verse say below, if you commit to what you are going to do for the Lord, He will make your plans succeed. If you included Jesus, He can direct you, or change events in your life to help you make a better decision. Jesus has all the events lined up to make you a sucess, you just need to ask Him to be apart of them.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. The LORD works out everything for his own ends even the wicked for a day of disaster. - Proverbs 16:3-4

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. - Proverbs 16:9

Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. - Proverbs - 19:21
