I was reminded this week that even though things seem bad at times, Jesus always provide for us. I did not see the light a couple of months ago, not sure if we were going to make it. But as Jesus always does, He came through. We have enough money to make a certain payment.
We are told over and over again in the Bible that you cannot worship both. You are going to place your trust in either Jesus or Money. Where does your trust lie?
Look back on your life, when has Jesus not provided for you. Now I am not talking about your wants, but your needs; food, clothes... things you need to live. Here are some verses to encourage you.
"Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf." Proverbs 11:28
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." Matthew 6:26
"No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight."
1 Timothy 6:10
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
"Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
